Yes. I’m blogging for a second time this week, and this one is about writing. No, I’m not talking to myself. Yes, I still enjoy really long titles.
It’s been over two weeks since I’ve updated here. I’ve been tweeting, but that’s about it. If the last few blog entries I did post were any indicators, then you could probably guess why I’ve been quiet.
Anyway, I’m back.
Good morning, writers, readers, and human beings. I’m going to address those self-publishing authors or those who plan on self-publishing their work. If you’re querying, not a writer, or just feel you’re above the act of publishing yourself, you can read anyway. You may find something helpful.
Formatting. Amazingly enough, it is often overlooked. You’ve written your book, have had it edited, and you are ready to release it into the world. But is your book really ready?
How long does it take to tell a story? Some can be told in a few words. Some are a punchline. Some can be summed up in a few paragraphs. Some take a lifetime.
I once said something to a friend that rang true for me at the time: “My life may be falling apart around me, but my writing has never been better.”
